Good all round, slightly flimsy lid EDIT (May 2017) – after one year of use the plastic flip lid broke. The design of the lid is the only flaw of what is otherwise a great kettle. The heat causes the lid mechanism to expand, thus jamming the lid in place. So you have to use your nails or knife to prise the lid open when refilling, the button alone wont work. some water may not filter. Length:: 0:26 Mins Bought this to replace my other Brita filter kettle, but I’m not really happy with it. I love my cuppa and it boils the water, but so would any other kettle. When filling up the kettle, you run the risk of some of the water not being filtered (i’ve added pictures so you can see). Poorly designed filter resevoir We bought this kettle to replace our previous Morphy Richards Brita kettle which was quite old and starting to give up. We were very happy with the previous kettle so bought what we thought was a replacement. Unfortunately, Morphy Richards has changed the design so the new kettle is not as good as the old one.
