Not worth it This kettle does boil, unlike its Redefine stablemate toaster, which did not toast. However, its lid or top is clumsy and difficult to operate and sometimes falls out spilling boiling water over your cups, surfaces and hands. Ouch. Could be dangerous. I was lucky. The other problem I have found is that its ability to filter hard water is not good, almost useless compared with the two Morphy-Richards glass kettles I used previously and which I may return to. Don’t let the price fool you…… Only received this kettle two days ago and already printed label to return. Following initial use the on/off switch started working intermittently, either starting to boil and then stopping straight away or boiling for short period before water properly hot. This is not a budget buy and would expect a better quality product from Morphy Richards. Methinks this is all style over substance and I will now buy something less expensive that will do the job of heating water.
