Bringing water to a boil seems like the most basic of kitchen chores. And yet, it’s really more complex than you might think. For example, is there a way to use less energy doing it? What’s the quickest and also the safest way? The Bistro Water Kettle is the answer to all these questions. It’s the most energy efficient way to boil water when there is no excess water boiled – just the amount that’s really needed for your coffee or tea. It’s super quick and safe as the boiling water is not exposed like it would be in a pan. The Bistro is made from plastic, stainless steel and silicone.

Short life…. yet again….. This is the second Bodum kettle that I have purchased…. my first one lasted around 18 months and then again as I liked the design I decided to purchase another one after the lid broke after a very short time , with my new kettle when I boil the kettle a smell of burning electrics is given off….. thatâs my final purchase now and Iâve moved on to a dualit kettle ….. fingers crossed itâll last more than a few months!Judging by the reviews here it seems that Iâm not the only one who has…
Looks good, boils quick, but feels cheap. Really like the look of this kettle, it matches the bread-bin perfectly & does boil quite quickly. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out it’s not really the quality you’d expect from Bodum & I do fear for how long it’ll survive. The lid isn’t the best design, the outer shell gets far hotter than I was expecting from a plastic body & it regularly smells of over-heating electrics, which is worrying.
Not great Rubbish. The lid will not close properly. Takes several attempts to do this. Made of cheap plastic. I will perivere for now but I suspect I have wasted £30. This was reduced from £40+ to £30. Does boil pretty quick but not happy with it overall.
